10 Minute Craft Dash #3

Hello everyone! I have another card to share with you! I'm on a roll this week! :)

This card is for the current 10 Minute Crash Dash Challenge! I have been meaning to participate in this new challenge, and I'm excited that I was able to this week. The challenge is to create a card in under 10 minutes using the following color scheme:

I wasn't sure how to use these colors together at first, but after looking at my latest Lawn Fawn stamp set, I decided to use the colors to make candy!

This card took a total of 10 minutes and 3 seconds to create! So close! I'm not sure if this is cheating or not, but I had the letters for "birthday" already lined up on my stamp block. I quickly stamped the "birthday" and "have a sweet" on the card, threw on some glue and glitter, and then went to town stamping and paper piecing the candies. I like the result. :)

If you get a chance, participate in the challenge this week! Thanks for stopping by!

Lawnscaping #42

Hi there! Happy Monday! I have a card to share with you for the current Lawnscaping Challenge - adding text to your project!

Here is the card that I created:

I decided to use the thank you stamps that come with the Lawn Fawn orders to create this card! The only one that isn't included in an order is the very last one which is part of the "So Thankful" set.

Thanks for stopping by! Check out of the other great cards that were created for this challenge! :)

So Thankful!

Hello everyone! I hope that your are having a good weekend so far! Yesterday, my husband and I celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary! We enjoyed a movie ("Trouble With the Curve" - I highly recommend that you see that!), some shopping, and dinner at our favorite restaurant - Olive Garden! It was great! Today we're relaxing at home and waiting for the Steeler game to start! :)

I have a few cards to share with you. I made these cards for everyone who helped us move a few weeks ago. We are so, so thankful for their help and could not have moved that quickly without them!

These cards were so easy to make! They feature one of Lawn Fawn's new stamp sets "So Thankful." A little stamping, a little paper piecing, and a little gluing. It was very easy to make quite a few of these. Here is a picture with all three cards:

Thanks for stopping by! It's officially fall! Hurray!

Design Principles Class!

Good evening! I hope that everyone is having a good weekend so far! We're still doing some unpacking and getting things organized. We're almost done though!

I have a card to share that I created for Britta Swiderski's Design Principles Class!

This card is based on the principle of balance, particularly symmetry!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Sweet Christmas," "Critters on the Farm," and "Gnome Sweet Gnome." Do the little bushes in front look familiar? They are the leaves from Lawn Fawn's new set "So Thankful!" They worked great as little bushes!

Britta's Class was so much fun! I'm really thankful that I was able to participate because I learned so many great principles that I can apply to my projects! Thanks for the class, Britta!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Let's go Steelers! :)

It Feels Like Fall!

Hi everyone! Everything feels like a mess right now! This past weekend my husband and I moved into our new apartment and both started our new jobs. We're still getting settled into our new place and I feel like there are still so many boxes left to unpack! Whew!

I wanted to share a quick card that I made before we left. It is starting to feel like fall here and that makes me super happy! There is a farm nearby that just opened their corn maze, too! Yay!! So, to celebrate the upcoming season, I made this:

The tree stamp is from Hampton Art. I stamped the base of the one tree onto brown paper (it usually has leaves and a swing on it). Then I used one of the other trees and stamped the leaves onto different colored papers. I stamped the grass from Lawn Fawn's "Gnome Sweet Gnome" set and the sentiment from Hero Arts "Everyday Sayings" and then paper pieced the tree together!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great weekend!
